Looks like we’re finally going to get a few dry days of weather here. Just in time for the weekend. I know what I’m gonna be doing ~ gardening! 🙂

It’s so fun to see what’s new in the garden from day-to-day. Now that the bugs have calmed down, that is ;). When I went out to check on things today I was so excited to find a little Roma tomato growing on the vine!
~
And there are blossoms on my beans! Lots of them!
~
On my bell pepper too!
~
My zucchini is totally dominating this corner of my garden! The leaves are so huge, it’s unbelievable. When a friend stopped over today she even commented that she’d never seen them so big before. Guess they’re happy! I know I am! 🙂

Remember those scraggly Impatiens I rescued? Well it looks like they’re doing just fine in their little pot in their shady spot.
~
I didn’t even know that my mom’s yellow lilies have been blooming for a while now out near her mailbox. Guess I don’t go out front often enough, I almost missed seeing this bright lovely.
~
And I thought her Mallow were long gone ~ it’s been quite a while since they’ve shown themselves in her flower bed, but I found this one blooming today. So delicate, light and airy…
~

Haha! I love photographing plants and flowers ~ as you can probably tell. 😉 I have a pretty nice camera that my sis gave me years ago, but I always steal my daughter’s camera because I like the way it takes close-ups. Good luck re-learning, don’t damage any brain cells! 😉

Julie, I’m smiling as I read this–partly because of the beautiful photos, but also because I’m picturing you out in your garden actually taking the photos. I like how you will do anything to get a good picture! From the looks of these photos, even a yoga instructor would have had a hard time bending and adjusting herself to get in just the right spot for some of these pictures 🙂 Way to go, and keep up the good work!

Hahahha! You are absolutely right, Simon! Except with my garden raised so high it makes it a little easier at least. The bell pepper blossom was a tough one because it was playing hide and seek with me. 😉 The neighbor guy came home while I photographing and I was a bit embarrassed. Wonder what he thought of my twisting, leaning and stretching? Ah geez. Haha! I’ve said this before, but I like photographing them almost as much as tending to them. 😀

I can sympathize with that feeling – I’ve taken more than a few pictures of buildings and sculptures and such while flat on my back with the camera pointed up, all because I thought the photo would have a little more impact if photographed from a unique angle.

I would love to see your photography some time Dennis. I will often point my camera upward in various settings and circumstances, especially if I happen to be under a tree or think the sky looks pretty. The photos don’t always turn out the best quality though and rarely capture what I’m seeing with my eyes.

Hey Dennis, I just finished checking out “Capture Minnesota” and it looks like an interesting site for sharing photos. Although I’m not so sure mine are up to par as far as quality compared to the other floral and plant photography I saw there. I really liked the photo “Winter on Wayzata Bay” that you posted a lot! And the one of the Minnesota State Capital was very pretty. But you know… you really shouldn’t be taking photos while you’re driving through the Lowry Hill Tunnel! 😉

Thank you! Sorry to hear about your lack of rain. The weather has been so weird this year. We had one of the longest autumns I can remember, then a very mild winter followed by an extraordinarily early spring here. Not complaining because I love it! 🙂 Hope some rain comes your way soon…
