  10. Beautiful words and photo! I love that soft pink. I’m amazed that your flowers are ahead of mine when your spring was so much slower to get started than mine. My astilbe still isn’t blooming!

    • Thanks Trisha! I love it too, so sweet and delicate. Funny that mine would bloom before yours! Maybe because even though our spring was slower in coming, we’re already very much into the heat of summer here, not to mention all the rain we’ve had. But maybe this one is just an earlier variety, the astilbe on the other side of the house still isn’t blooming yet either. Hope you’re well today Trisha, and that you have a beautiful day! ❤

  11. Totally gorgeous! My long-term plans involve a lot of white astilbe…You’re like a mirror sometimes!

    • Thanks Joey! 🙂 I’ve never grown the white ones before, always opting for adding color, but speaking of mirrors… now that you mention it… I’d rather like some white ones too! 😀

    • Thanks Loisajay, astilbe blooms are so feathery and light and airy looking, and in pink… ah so pretty! That bee is actually a very tiny little hoverfly, I’m shocked I even got him to show up in focus. 🙂

    • Thanks so much, Ruth! I love them too, they have such a light, delicate, airy quality to them, they’re just so lovely! I bet the red colored ones you have are gorgeous, I’ve only had pink ones. That little hoverfly sampling some nectar was such a fun thing to capture! 🙂
