Moon of Love

Moon of love shining so bright

you’re a magical, mystical, wondrous sight!

You know how I always say that I can’t photograph the moon to save my life, but that I just can’t give up trying to anyway because I love the moon so much?  Well, during the last full moon I gave it yet another try, I just couldn’t resist, it was looking so amazing, and the way the clouds were drifting past its lovely face all mysterious-like really added to its allure.

Well, of course… it was another fail.  Without the correct type of camera (not to mention a tripod for steadiness), I guess I expected that, but I can’t truly be disappointed about this particular one “not turning out,” because I’m just tickled how in its discombobulation it ended up making a heart shape!  ❤

Even though I can’t photograph it properly… the moon still loves me, and I’ve got the picture to prove it!  😉

Hi Moon!

  1. Wow Julie, you never cease to amaze me. Only you could accidentally take a gorgeous picture like this 🙂

    • Thanks Simon! I really do wish I could get a decent capture of the moon (and I don’t plan to give up trying), but it was pretty fun to have this one turn out this way! 🙂

  2. How fun, I guess your heart is shining through! XD I was wishing I had a good camera to photograph the moon last night, It was gorgeous shining through some clouds with soft glowing effect. I saved it in my mind. 🙂

    • Oh gosh, I know, the moon last night was sooo lovely, it was after seeing it that prompted me to share this photo from the last full moon we had. I love that you saved it your mind’s eye, perfect! 😀

  3. I love the way the clouds are next to the moon and that it is a heart shaped 🙂

  4. I thought it was a photoshop! Amazing photo.

    • Oh, I bet I could enhance it further using photoshopi, if only I knew how…
Other than using the very basics (such as adding text, adjusting the saturation, sharpness, contrast, etc.) within my computer’s built in photo program or FotoFlexer, I’m pretty much photoshop illiterate. 😀
      Thanks Julie!

      • Try PicMonkey. It’s free and fun. I am not all that knowledgeable so if I can do it, anyone can. I prefer to leave my photos as untouched as possible. What you see is what you get. 🙂

      • I’ve never heard of that, thanks I’ll check it out. I like to leave mine as untouched as possible too, but sometimes I tweak them a little, mostly just to help them look a bit more like what I was actually seeing through the lens, to make up for my camera’s lack. 🙂

  6. Awesome. The moons reward to you as it recognizes your effort to capture it’s stunning allure. The moon truly DOES love you Jewels.

  7. Wow, that’s awesome! And I agree: it’s proof that the moon loves you. 🙂

  8. Oh, its so gorgeous!!!! 🙂 ❤ ❤ ❤

  9. OMG, Julie, the “HEART” of the moon. So lovely and beautiful. Made my day. Love for me!

  10. I have the same issues with moon pix–but it doesn’t stop me from trying either! U go girl!!!

    • I have managed to capture a couple halfway decent moon photos in the past, but none of any real actual quality (depending on how one looks at it, anyway). But I was delighted how this one turned out even though it didn’t “turn out.” 😉

  11. Of course you should keep trying and you got a nice beautiful shape! 😀

  12. I love this photo – it’s definitely a keeper! I love to go out walking in the moonlight – this past one was so clear and bright, no flashlight was needed!

    • This past one really was extra bright, shinning up there like a big round light bulb! 🙂 We had some clouds here drifting over it every so often, but even when the moon was behind them you could still see its light, the moon is so lovely… ❤

  13. Wow – so gorgeous!

  14. That’s just amazing that the heart emerged naturally!! Great shot xxx

I'd love to hear from you!
