I Got It From My Mom…

Today is my Mom’s birthday, happy birthday Momma!  And as I’ve been going through old pictures, spending some time reflecting on my Mom and all of the wonderful things about her, I’ve realized that I’ve inherited a good many of her wonderful qualities.  And I thought it might be fun to share some of those things in honor of her birthday.

 

All of the great qualities that I got from my mom…

 

 My love of nature

Truthfully, my Mom isn’t really a big fan of the outdoors. But you can see that she was definitely enjoying herself here while we were on a road trip through the Hoh Rain Forest.  🙂

 

My ability to withstand the cold harsh Minnesota winters

My sometimes off-color sense of humor

I’ve shared this photo of my Mom before, it’s one of my favorites of her.  Gosh, she just looks so gorgeous!

 

My excellent skills in home improvement projects

 

My sense of adventure

Whether on the high seas, or… on fake ships on the side of the road.

 

My great fashion sense

 

My love of strawberries

 

My love for the ocean

Wait… Mom doesn’t actually even like the water.  But she has a big coffee mug in her hand here, so lets maybe use this one for… my love of coffee.  😉

 

My strong dislike of being near creepy dolls

I think she was just annoyed about getting her picture taken in this one, but seriously… look at that creepy doll.  Dolls really creep me out!  My mom looks kinda creepy here too…  😉

This is my Mom with my older sister as a tiny infant. It my sister’s birthday on Thursday, their birthday are only two days apart.  I love them both more than I could ever say.  ❤

Throughout the years, my Mom was always snapping pictures of everything. And I’m so glad she did, so that I would have all of these wonderful photos to look back on  🙂

I know a lot of these are silly, but all joking aside, my Mom truly does possess so many wonderful qualities, and I am lucky to inherit even a smidgen of them.  I think she’s quite an amazing woman, and I’m so thankful to have her as my Mom.  ❤
