We went over to my sister’s new house yesterday where I snapped this photo of one of her Star Trek ornaments hanging on her tree. It’s not anything spectacular, but with the yellow Christmas light shinning there next to it, I thought it would be fitting for this week’s Weekly Photo Challenge: Yellow.

As a bona fide Trekkie, over half of my sister’s Christmas tree ornaments are Star Trek themed ornaments, and some of them are pretty darn cool. My favorite one is the Borg cube, where when you press it a recording says: “We are the Borg, enjoy your holidays, resistance is futile.” Hahaha gotta love it! (Only other Star Trek fans will get that).
With just a few more days to go until Christmas, my hope is that your holiday would be ‘assimilated into the collective’ of the beauty, the wonder, and the joy of the True meaning of season. Many blessings to you and yours. Merry Christmas!

I’m not a Trekkie either, but the “resistance is futile” part just cracks me up! My sister’s tree is actually a gigantic version of a ‘Charlie Brown’ Christmas tree, but she and her husband did a great job with it and made it fantastic. 🙂

Resistance is futile. Julie and her enthusiasm for the season will conquor all sad hearts! 🙂 I’m a casual trekkie if there is such a thing, but I do have a Enterprise ornament with Spock reminding us to live long and prosper. 🙂

We grew up watching the original Star Trek (and all things sci fi) with my Dad, so it kinda got into our blood. More so in my sister than me, but I could just be in denial. 😉 My sister has that ornament too (of course!), but it no longer works.

Maybe it would be better if your favorite Star Trek quote were “Beam me up Scotty” and you could just skip the whole season. 😉
Seriously though, I hope all of your holiday to-dos aren’t too taxing on you, Trisha. ❤ Try and take it easy and hang in there as best as you can, it will soon be over… Just. A. Few. More. Days. 😉 My Rachael was feeling sad already yesterday saying that she didn't want it to be Christmas yet because she still wanted to do more festive things and that she wishes it was always Christmas. Bless her heart she loves Christmas so much.

I’m too tired to do the baking I want to do but, otherwise, I’m with Rachel. I don’t want it to be here yet because I don’t want it to be over! I love having the tree and all the lights up and having a free pass to eat goodies and drink eggnog for a few days. 🙂 It’s surprising to me that I feel this way. The past few years I did just want it over with. Still, I wish someone else in the house could bake, or even come home with the right ingredients. Their Christmas cravings do put quite a burden on me!

I’m a sucker for themed anything. There’s a private joke between my sister and I how everything I do always has to have a theme. And I stayed true to that this Christmas with her gift(s), it was all about pampering her feet, right down to the toe ring and the nail polish I added to it. 😀
