Glow in the Dark

Even in the darkest place

hope still radiates

Wherever bright daisies shine

joy to this heart of mine

Every place beauty grows

love will glow

Exotic flower

I’m so intrigued

Wow just look at that crazy bloom!  I think passion flowers most definitely have a kinky side to them.

And I like it.  🙂

Day Lily

Much too brief is your charm, elegance, and grace

for it is for only one single day that your beauty lives in this place.

I bought a new variety of daylily for the flower bed this year and gosh is it ever lovely!  We already have way too much pink going on in the flower bed, but I just couldn’t resist these… I see the orange variety of daylilies everywhere, but I’ve never come across pink ones before and I just had to have them.

I find it so sad that a beauty such as this only gets to bloom for one single day, but I guess it’s a good reminder for me to continue to try and enjoy each day – and its beauty, while it lasts.

I hope your day is filled with beauty, and with…

Peace and Love 1

I know I’ve been a bit quiet here lately, I have some major things going on in my little world right now that have sapped a lot of my creativity, and I just haven’t been feeling very inspired to write.  I also apologize for not stopping by your blogs as much – I currently have 145 unread messages of your posts in my inbox, so I probably won’t be able to catch up with them all, but I’ll try to stop by soon and show them some love…

Wednesday Morning With Rumi

“Embrace sorrowful thoughts

for they sweep the house of your heart clean,

scatter the withered leaves, and pull out the twisted roots,

preparing the ground for the new shoots of joy.”

Sometimes Rain

Sometimes rain

Falls from the sky

and from my eyes

when heavy clouds lay low.

Sometimes rain

Pours down big drops

weighs down my thoughts

my petals bending so.

Sometimes rain

Goes on for days

the storms they rage

 and howling winds do blow.

Sometimes rain

Brings peace in grief

in the belief

that from it we will grow.

And sometimes rain

looks pretty on our petals.

Clover Dreams

Lay me down on a soft bed of clover

light scent so sweet

I inhale

A dainty butterfly flutters past

silent on the warm breeze

I smile

The comfort of the earth beneath me

the vast sky above

I relax

Gazing up into blue infinity

wispy clouds float by

I dream

Weekly Photo Challenge: Vivid

The vibrant color of my peonies is definitely what I would consider to be vivid…

100_6193a1

In fact, because of their intense color, I always find it difficult to capture a true representation of them with the camera, lighting is always a problem, and this shot turned out looking a bit sharp – the petals are actually much softer looking in appearance.  I snapped it using my Mom’s camera because the photos I took of the lilacs earlier this spring had turned out so lovely with it.  In reality these flowers have a deeper berry hue to them.

May your day be filled with beautiful, vibrant, vivid color!  And with…
