Sometimes rain
Falls from the sky
and from my eyes
when heavy clouds lay low.
Sometimes rain
Pours down big drops
weighs down my thoughts
my petals bending so.
Sometimes rain
Goes on for days
the storms they rage
and howling winds do blow.
Sometimes rain
Brings peace in grief
in the belief
that from it we will grow.

And sometimes rain
looks pretty on our petals.

The rain drops look so lovely and refreshing on the petals but I hope the sun comes and dries the rain drops in your thoughts and your eyes. Sending warm, sunny thoughts and energy your way.

Thanks so much, Trisha. ❤ Warm and sunny is exactly what the weather has been outside today and that always helps to lift the spirits too. 🙂

“Be still, sad heart! and cease repining;
Behind the clouds is the sun still shining;
Thy fate is the common fate of all,
Into each life some rain must fall,
Some days must be dark and dreary.”
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Rain is cleansing and nourishing even although it can be dreary at the time 🙂
