A different type of bang
A different sort of boom
Bursting forth, summer’s blossoms shoot off a few fireworks of their own…

And they’re every bit as dazzling as the explosive variety. Though… much more quiet in their display. 😉
To those of you here with me in the States, have a safe and happy 4th of July weekend! To those of you elsewhere in the world… well, I hope you’re safe and happy too! ❤

I’ll share one of our old broadcasting tags for this holiday weekend.. “Do not go forth on the 4th with a fifth or you may not live to forth on the 5th!” Yeah, we all thought we were clever… lol Happy 4th

That passion flower makes me smile, but the blue flower—-what a gorgeous color it is!

I love blue delphinium! I don’t have any in my own garden, I came across that one on a bike ride and screeched to a grinding halt to stop and snap a photo of it. It was a bright sunny afternoon so the photo is a bit over exposed, the actual color was a deeper blue, but I still liked the way it turned out. A great blue for “red, white & blue” too! 😉 Happy 4th Lois! ❤

Oh “Flower Power” I love that! Wish I would have thought of using that phrase, I’ll have to put that in my memory banks to use later. 😉
Apparently a lot of fireworks are actually designed with flowers in mind, which doesn’t surprise me – so much inspiration can be gleaned from the beautiful and interesting things found in nature.
Thanks so much Val! x ❤

Gorgeous flower photos! I much prefer this kind of color explosion. The passionflower is absolutely amazing! I’ve got to get one of those. Wishing you a safe and happy 4th as well!

Thanks Trisha! Me too, but I also love the loud booming and sparkly lights bursting in the sky from regular fireworks – so fun! I’m excited to see some tonight. It’s the mosquitoes biting whilst watching them that I can do without, they’re terrible here. I’ll have to douse myself in lavender, lemon, and peppermint oils 😉
Yeah gosh, I’m so loving my passion flowers, I’ve never grown them before, and I’m definitely adding them to my regular list for future growing seasons.
Happy 4th! 🙂

Thanks so much! I know what you mean, I am amazed daily by nature’s beauty and diversity. It must have been so fun for the Lord to just let His imagination run wild when creating everything. 🙂
