It’s Tummy Time

DSCF8982b1

On the day we found out that my daughter was having a baby girl, I snapped a photo of her holding the ultrasound photo in front of her bare tummy, but it was with my crappy cell phone so it didn’t turn out very well.  That was fine because it was mostly only for us to see – a way to remember the special moment.  But I got to thinking that I’d really like to try and capture a nicer photo with my regular camera, so I asked my daughter to go out into the garden and pose for me where I snapped the above photo.  My sweet girls  ❤

I hope you’ll indulge me because I plan to take more photos of her tummy as it grows – I’m completely fascinated by it!  Being the month of October, I have an idea floating around in my mind that involves her tummy and pumpkins, but I don’t know if that idea will materialize or not.  Either way, I know I’ll be taking more photos of her tummy and there may be some I’ll want to share, so I hope you don’t mind.  This first-time Grandma is reveling in the awe of it all!

Thanks for joining me for tummy time, hope you have a wonderful day!

🙂

    • Thank you for letting me share! I’m sentimental to a fault sometimes, but I can’t help it, it’s just the way I am. I already have a journal I’ve been writing in for Noelle – recording little things, sharing secrets, hopes, and my prayers for her. I feel so blessed and thankful, and gosh… all this love… it’s just pouring out of me. I wasn’t exaggerating when I said I’m completely fascinated with my daughter’s growing tummy, it’s so amazing, I can’t stop touching it, and talking to the little babe inside. I’m truly treasuring this whole experience. ❤

  8. I spent 12 years working in a teaching hospital helping to design and build medical equipment, I was fortunate to spend 6 working to improve ultrasound equipment…I saw some amazing things, but the thing that touched me most was seeing babies come into this world: Enjoy every minute of this journey.

  13. Pretty exciting! What is it like to have your baby having a baby? Kind of amazing and a bit surreal, I would think. 🙂

    • It’s hard to describe, Eliza, such a mixture of varying emotions, but the love pouring out from me is like nothing I’ve ever felt before. ❤
"Kind of amazing and a bit surreal" is exactly right.
It's so funny how much I love her growing tummy, I really am completely fascinated by it. And of course, I already love that little babe inside her so much! I didn't see my daughter very much over this past weekend, and just this morning, I went over to her tummy and rubbed it and said "I missed you little babe!" I swear her tummy is bigger than it was on Friday!
I'm so looking forward to meeting little Noelle, holding her in my arms, kissing her sweet face, but I have to admit… I'm going to miss the tummy! 🙂
