  5. The leaves haven’t started changing yet here in Oklahoma, but I sure am looking forward to when they do. Thanks for sharing a little slice of autumn with us Julie!

    • They’re just getting started down here in the cities, but up north they’re really changing – Duluth is at peak right now and I’m itching for a little road trip! 🙂

  7. So pretty, Julie. The only thing that’s falling at my house is pine straw. Lots and lots of pine straw.

    • Thanks, Lois. 🙂 Why is pine straw falling at your house?

      • my neighborhood is surrounded by pine trees and oaks. We can always tell when the cooler weather is coming–the walkways and lawns are covered in pine straw and those darn acorns!

      • Mmm I love the scent of pine! The needles (funny that you call it straw) can be quite messy and a bother to “rake” though. 😉 With all those acorns you must have tons of squirrels! I’m hating on the squirrels lately, on account of them eating the baby cardinals that were nesting in my lilacs this past spring – it was horrifying to watch. :/

      • That is weird that we call it ‘straw’…it must be a southern thing…or ‘thang’ as the true southerners would say! 😀

  8. While some people get depressed at the onset of autumn, the leaves on the ground, colors and the feel of limited weeks of time left to head out into nature makes it my favorite. Great series of shots!
