Bend in the breeze
you can’t control the wind
it’s always gonna blow
sometimes softly, sometimes strong
don’t try to resist it, bend with it
let it flow through you
Stay rooted and grounded, but not stiff
brittle branches break
Stretch out your arms and embrace life
but don’t cling too tightly to anything
be willing to let go –
Let the leaves fall off when their time comes
setting them free to dance on the wind
Shed your protective bark
allowing new layers of yourself to emerge
Seasons come and go, the cycle of life continues
But always remain green inside
even in the dead of winter

A beautiful poem and picture of a life well lived. I can see a coffee table edition of your poems with your photos, I love your warm passion for appreciating life through it’s seasons, along with your positive, healthy approach, it is a real blessing which you pass on to us all who read.

Oh gosh that would be an absolute dream to put together a coffee table book of my poems and photos. Thank you so much for the kind words about my writing, I sincerely appreciate it. Just passing along what the trees spoke to my heart this morning as I watched them swaying in the wind. 🙂

Beautiful! I should be more like a tree. Sometimes I’m not good at bending with the breeze or with letting go.

Thanks Trisha! I’m not so good with those things either. I think we would all do well being more like the trees. 🙂
