Frozen Falls

The melody of rushing waters

never ceasing

Nature’s flow persists

through winter’s frozen falls

A good friend and I took a little road trip this past weekend in hopes of finding these falls completely frozen over, because how cool would that be?  But to our surprise, and delight, they were not.  We enjoyed them much more being only partially frozen.  Listening to the beautiful and refreshing melody of rushing waters was an extra lovely sound to hear to in the middle of winter when nature usually sleeps.

Wishing all of you a melodious and refreshing week!

  1. Wow, so beautiful. As well, I have a small waterfall on our property that is still open due to the milder weather. I love to hear its rejuvenating music! ❤

    • It was a beautiful and amazing sight. How wonderful that you have a waterfall on your property, Eliza, what a gift. The temps have been pretty mild here too, but I didn’t think they were enough to melt the snow and ice just yet, it’s not even February. 🙂

  6. Beautiful photo, Julie. The few times it freezes here in sunny FL, people will leave their sprinklers on (so the pipes don’t freeze) but I love to watch the sun glint off the frozen water. This so reminds me of that.

    • Thanks, Lois. I love that too. It was dreary skies the day that we went to these falls, I wish the sun had been shining, that would have been much prettier, but it was still super cool. 🙂
