The road ahead shrouded in mist
I venture deeper into that mysterious unknown
unafraid
soothed by the stillness
of a February fog

Snapped this with my phone through the windshield of my car as I was driving down the road this morning. Don’t worry, I was being completely safe, there were no other cars in sight. 🙂
I love the fog, even with as dreary as it seems. I find the stillness and mysteriousness of it incredibly soothing. We don’t get fog here very often, so I’m always delighted whenever we do and make it a point to get outside and enjoy it.
May you find things to enjoy today too…

Thanks Joey, it was, and my pleasure. 🙂
Fog in February is so odd. Are you still having mild temps there too?

Nice. 🙂 Until Friday here too, then there’s snow in the forecast.

I love the fog too. It’s so quiet and mysterious. Pretty tricky to be able to snap this while driving, Julie. I’ve done it so I know. 🙂 ❤

Tricky indeed. But I just had to stop and snap a photo of the misty scene in front of me while it was happening – glad no cars were around. 🙂

Thank goodness you stopped. I would think it is near impossible to be driving and taking a picture at the same time. Too darn dangerous. 🙂

Beautiful poem and photo, Julie. I see you have no snow and warmish temps. Very unusual weather for your neck of the woods!

Thanks, Eliza. Yes, after having several days with temps up into the 50’s and 60’s over the past couple of weeks, pretty much all of the snow here has melted. Unusual indeed! But there’s snow in the forecast for Friday, so winter is definitely not done with us here yet…

Gorgeous photo and poem too! Here in Kolkata, there is mist almost every day, or I guess it is rather smog 😟. But I too love proper fog!

I always love driving through fog too! When it’s not too dangerous, anyway (like at night sometimes – well even then, it’s pretty cool 🙂). What a great way to describe fog through a poem!
