I came across a massive field of dandelions on my bike ride the other day and just had to hop off my bicycle to try and capture a piece of the magical scene with my phone, it was like looking out at a sea of pure sunshine. While I was looking out at it I heard a line from Coldplay’s song “Yellow” playing in my head…
“And it was all yellow”
Except when against the blue of the sky…
How can anyone hate dandelions? They’re like bright little stars shining in a field of green and “Look how they shine for you.”
I like the sound of the studio version of this song better, but listening to any music in concert is always fun, and this one is “all yellow” 😉
May bright things shine for you this week…

I love the photos and the idea of a sea of sunshine! Shine on Julie. 🙂

How delightful that must have been on such a sunny day! One of my earliest memories (age 3?) is looking out onto a field of dandelions and wanting to go pick some so badly, but my aunt wouldn’t let me leave the yard. I could only look and not touch – arrgh! (I was born to love flowers 😉 ) Thanks for sharing your photos, Julie.

Aw dear little heart 3 year old Eliza. ❤ I've been out several times this spring picking dandelions with my granddaughter (she's 15 months now) and she absolutely loves it. And so does Grandma. 😉 Although she's too young to remember, I'm building up some precious memories. ❤ Hmm… I wonder if it's possible to attach of photo from Facebook to a comment. I think I'll give it a try…

Lovely photos. That song Yellow has always hung with me.That early Coldplay album remains one of my favorites. I think maybe just what was going on in my life when I got that album, and how the songs sunk into me. 🙂

Thank you. I love how music can take us to a different place and time in our minds, and how certain songs can evoke memories. Almost everything reminds me of a song – my sister and I can have nearly entire conversations just speaking song lyrics, haha it’s crazy! And I even wake up with music in my head every morning – sometimes it’s a song I haven’t listened to in ages, it’s so weird.
Thanks for stopping by Michael, and for taking the time to comment. Have a lovely day! 🙂

I absolutely love these pictures! All of them are beautiful but my favorite is the first one, a seemingly eternal field of sunflowers. I am a Coldplay fan as well, and these yellow flowers sure do put me in a Yellow mood! The simplicity and positivity of your blog stands out to me, and I followed. I just started a photography and art blog myself and am looking forward to gaining more inspiration from your posts!
