We’re just getting our first taste of autumn color here in Minnesota on this first day of fall. It’s typically well under way by this date on the calendar, but it’s late this year, probably due to the unusually warm temperatures we’re having. Hopefully that means fall will last longer than usual too. I love all things autumn! 😍

It’s toasty here, too, but you’re right, it will add drama to the colors. Already seeing flashes of red and yellow here 🙂

I snapped this yesterday at a nature preserve where I went on a little nature walk with my daughter and granddaughter, and it’s not staged at all – it was laying there just like that on a huge fallen tree trunk underneath a maple tree. It called out to me and begged me to snap its photo. 😉 I love when that happens! Happy Friday and happy first day of fall, my dear Lois! ❤

Happy Autumn Equinox! Such a beautiful red leaf you found! Fall color is late here too. Like you, I’m hoping that means fall will last longer. I feel like we didn’t even have a fall last year so I’m more eager for beautiful autumn days than ever!

Thanks Trisha! I feel like I didn’t have a fall last year too – I had my first knee replacement at the end of September and couldn’t drive for 6 weeks. Wow, I can’t believe it’s been almost a full year! And it’s still not completely healed yet… Anyways, I intend to soak up as much of this fall as I can! 🙂
