I LOVE this quote by George Eliot and resonate with it soooo much!  😍  I snapped this photo while on a day trip with a friend to find some autumn color.  We ending up finding a bit here at Hidden Falls, located within Nerstrand Big Woods State Park.

I’m still waiting for the fall colors to fully show up here in the city.  Not that I’m complaining – I enjoy getting away from the city and taking day drives to beautiful destinations in the surrounding areas.

    Such a lovely quote. I love autumn and all the muted colours it brings out. Watching colours change from greens to reds is soothing for some reason. Gorgeous picture. 😍

    So beautiful! And I resonate with that quote too. Autumn is far too short here so I would love to be able to fly away from the rain to find other autumns.

      Thanks Trisha! I agree, Autumn is far too short a season! We’re having very windy weather today and I’m so afraid it’s going to blow all of the beautiful leaves off the trees…
