Autumn’s Confetti

At the peak of their beauty, the trees threw a party

in celebration of a year teeming with life, growth and beauty

All of nature was invited to attend the glorious spectacle of vibrant color

as the trees took center stage

But when the wind arrived, gusting in, as the wind tends to do

the party was suddenly over

leaving behind

autumn’s colorful confetti

That darn wind, blowing all of the beautiful leaves off the trees!  But I have to admit, the leaves look sorta pretty on the ground too – like confetti!  😊

There is still lots of beautiful fall color in my area, and I’ve been enjoying autumn’s party.  But we have snow in the forecast for tomorrow.   Okay, who invited snow?  Snow is NOT invited to the party – no admittance until after October!  Sigh… autumn is much too short a season…

Let us seize the day… and make it beautiful!

  6. That’s quite the explosion of leaves and color. A wild and rowdy party. I’m with you. Who the heck invited snow!
