All the flowering trees are in bloom here right now and it’s so beautiful! 😍 And the weather is perfect too! Yesterday I was literally outside all day – almost from sun up to sun down. Gosh I’ve needed this. 🥰
One thing I didn’t mention in my long rambling post the other day is that my beloved phone died. It was old, as far as cell phones go, I got it in 2015, but it had a great little camera on it and took such beautiful pictures, so I’m really sad about it. Most of the newer phones don’t even have as nice of a camera, unless you want to spend a lot, which I don’t. But while I was talking with customer service, crying the blues about losing my nice camera on my phone, the rep told me about this one – the Samsung Galaxy A51, which I’ve fondly named Area51 (get it? cuz it’s called the A51 😉). What… you don’t name your phone? My last phone’s name was Tink, may she rest in peace. Anyway, this new one is nothing fancy, but it does have a 48 mp camera and 4 lenses, so hopefully it’ll take nice pictures.
I was disappointed with the majority of pictures I snapped of the flowering things with it yesterday, the quality that I was expecting just didn’t seem to be there. But hopefully as I get more acquainted with it that will improve. If not, I guess I’ll just have to deal with it. So if you notice that the pictures I share aren’t as nice as they used to be, that’s why. I did think the shot I shared above turned out pretty. It was gorgeous in person! 🌸
I’m heading outside for the day again today – gotta soak in all the loveliness that I can. I hope your weather is nice and that there are flowering things wherever you are today. Wishing you beauty and joy!

That’s a lovely photo! I know what you mean about being outside during this gorgeous weather – we don’t want to miss a minute! Have a great weekend. ❤

Thanks Eliza! I know – I barely spared a minute to even go inside to get food yesterday! 😅 I’m so grateful for my little outdoor space and garden! You have a great weekend too Eliza! ❤

I have a Samsung Galaxy J7. Oh, dear–I didn’t name mine. 🙂 I like the phone and the camera is decent enough. This photo is with your new phone? It’s beautiful. Look at that bokeh!

Thank Lois! Yes, this photo is with my new phone. I used a setting called Live Focus which is supposed to blur out the background behind the main subject. I really liked the bokeh effect it gave the shot too! It didn’t work as well on some of the other pictures I took though. 🤷♀️

I’m glad you were able to relish in the peak spring blooms Julie and I totally relate to wanting a good camera on your cellphone. The camera was the main feature I looked for and decided to splurge a bit on a Pixel 4 xl. I found a bargain on Amazon for a refurbished one. It takes pretty good photos. I hope yours works out for you. Enjoy the day! 🌺

Thanks, Brad, Spring is such a beautiful time of the year. Yes, I’ve see your photos and they look really nice. Well done getting a bargain on a good one! So far I’m not too pleased with the camera on my new phone, but maybe I’m just not used to it. Right now I’m still missing my old phone. Hope you’re having a nice weekend. 🙂

Hopefully you’ll learn to master it. Or do you have the option of returning or exchanging? I like buying mine unlocked and online so I can keep my bargain plan. 🙂

Yes, hopefully. I’m not sure what my options are for returning or exchanging it, but now that I’ve went through all the work of getting it all set up, I’m sorta feeling obliged to ‘make it work out.’ 😉

I sent one back but I understand it can be a lot of extra work.

Congratulations on the new phone! I’m picking up my new phone tomorrow and supposedly she has a fancier camera. Oh fun.
I hate setting stuff up, so I hope it’s just wonderful when it’s all done.
I name lots of things, my cars, appliances, handbags, plants — lots of things, but I have never named any of my phones. I wonder why?

Thanks, it’s gonna take some getting used to after having my last one for 5 years. Oh, funny you’re getting a new phone too! I hope it’s not too much of a bother getting it all set up. You should definitely name your new phone. 🙂
