“Kindness is like snow –
it beautifies everything it covers”
Khalil Gibran
Technically this isn’t snow in this image, it’s hoarfrost (which we’ve been delightfully blessed to be having quite a bit of here lately), but who’s being picky? Certainly not me. π
So HI YOU GUYS!!!
Sorry for ‘shouting’ all in caps, but I’m excited!
But I’m not excited with this new editor thing. Ugh. Probably old news to you all by now, but it might take me a while to get used to it.
So, I’ve sort of been away from here for months and you know what? I’ve sincerely missed you all! β€
I have no explanation really, but I did start back to work in the beginning of October. I feel like I’ve been on survival mode for like, ever. You may relate, yes? And that doesn’t promote much inspiration or creativity. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had many moments where there’s been both of those, but I guess maybe I just haven’t been able to take the time nor had the energy to share. Plus, do you ever get tired of yourself? Like, do you ever feel like you’re always sharing the same thing and have nothing new to offer? I don’t know, like I said, I don’t really have an explanation. And then new habits and routines form and before you know it, it’s been months since you’ve shared on your blog…
Even now, I’m squeezing this post in before I have to hurry off for work. But I saw this quote and just had to take this time to share. I’m feeling it so much…
I have more to say, but I’m gonna have to leave it there for now. I hope you all are well. I’m sending out so much love to all of you!

Hi Stranger – been wondering where you were. Sometimes we all get lazy and we just slow down. Working and trying to blog has to be tough. I think we all get tired of ourselves sometimes. Take care and stay safe in 2021

Great to have you back Jewels ! Yes this whole Covid era has thrown everyone out of kilter and caused many of us to deeply consider our life’s meaning and purpose. If you had not told me it was frost I would have believed it to be snow, as it looked a lot like it. What a lovely saying this is too, kindness does make everything it covers more beautiful. I had trouble with the new WordPress editor, as have many of us more mature users so I just select Classic from the drop down box and use it as I refuse all these changes that are frequently made for the sake of change. As my old work boss always said “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” Enjoy your week my friend π

Hi Ashley, thanks! When I tried the classic editor it seemed to mess up the formatting of my post, so I’m gonna give the new editor a go. I suppose there’s a reason they’ve made these changes – maybe just to keep us all on our toes. π I hope all is well with you and yours and that your new year is off to a good start! π

That is a beautiful quote! And I can totally relate to – Do you ever get tired of yourself? :))) Certainly a time to take time off until we feel renewed and refreshed. Hope and wish we are all as much kind to ourselves as much as we need.

Thanks for sharing this quote. It just arrived at the right time as we were asked to talk in a radio-programme tomorrow. And we are snow-lovers. We missed snow that much. Now we are happy to have real winter.
All the best.
Keep well
