Sleeping Beauty

Sleeping beauty, little one so fair

blissfully dreaming and unaware

while grandma watches over with loving care

whispering her quiet prayers

My regular morning time ritual has been altered over the past two weeks to include sharing it with this cute little cuddle bug.  She comes in and naps in my room so her mommy can get some extra sleep in the mornings after being awakened throughout the night for feedings.  I’m used having my mornings to myself, but I don’t mind sharing them with my precious granddaughter – I’m cherishing every moment I get to spend with her.  Which mostly includes just watching her sleep.  And praying over her.  ❤

I hope for so many things for her life…

I promise to try not to go too overboard with all things baby in my posts, but as I have always just shared whatever happens to be currently going on in my world, it’s bound to sometimes include my sweet Noelle.

There’s not much going on outside here – everything is drab and dreary, no signs of spring yet, but I’m sure I’ll be sharing about it once there is.  I can’t wait to bring Noelle outside and show her the garden, even though she won’t really know what’s what.  Hey, one is never too young to get acquainted with nature!  😉

Have a wonderful weekend my friends!  May it be filled with beauty, and with…

    • I like it too, Simon! 🙂 Thanks, so far I haven’t been trying to take any ‘fancy’ photos of her – just snapshots with my phone taken in the moment, but Rachael and I plan to experiment a bit later with trying to capture some set-up/posed type of pictures, so the tips in your last Weekly Fifty were very helpful. 🙂

  10. Ah. Those mitts bring back memories. We won’t grow tired of Noelle

    • Yes those mitts are such good things for newborns to wear, without them she would surely scratch that sweet little sleeping face. Glad to hear you won’t grow tired of her. 🙂

  11. Aw Jewels, I’m not normally a ‘baby’ person but you really have drawn my in with your little Beauty!

    • Funny you should mention that Jean, as I’m not normally a ‘baby’ person either – unless we’re talking baby animals. 😉 But of course, in this case it’s quite a different story for me with this particular baby being my grandchild – an extension of my daughter whom I love more than anything in this world. Yep, I can’t help but be completely and utterly drawn in by this one. ❤ And I'm glad you are too! 🙂

      • That’s very interesting about the grandchild aspect. I wasn’t mad baby even when son Harry was tiny. I like children when they are a bit older than newbies.
        Baby dogs, yes, yes, yes!!!
