Earth Day 2017

 

On Earth Day

Mother Earth prays

hoping we’ll hear her plea 

 

For it is through us alone

we can protect our home

for future generations to see

I’ve recently been enjoying the beautiful artwork of Josephine Wall, and when I came across this piece of hers, I immediately thought of Mother Earth and Earth Day.  It’s entitled “Sadness of Gaia” and if you click on the picture, it will bring you to the artist’s webpage and her interpretation/explanation of this piece.  To me it seems as if Mother Earth is praying.  Let’s listen…
