    I didn’t think of this delicate, yet persistent and powerful force of nature. I should have though – I’m in awe of how the flowers keep on blooming no matter what the weather does to them. I love your take on force of nature! I’m waiting for rain, since it’s the force of nature that keeps the green in the Evergreen State! BTW, I love the way the flower glows in that first photo!

      The first thing I thought of when I saw the theme for this week’s challenge was that crazy giant hail we had last week, but when I saw the tulips opening and I thought to myself there’s a force of nature at work there too, even though it’s more quiet and subtle.
      I love all the green you have there in the Evergreen State. Enjoy that rain when it arrives, it’s rainy here today.
      Thanks, I really love the way it glows too and I almost added something to the poem about it, but decided to leave it as it was.

        It did end up raining here today but thankfully not too hard until after I walked the dog. I enjoyed having a rainy day but now I’m ready for some sun so I can get out to take some pictures. There are so many flowers waiting for their portraits to be taken!

      Thanks Dorinda! That’s true, we don’t. I usually think of storms or some of the more ‘louder’ wows in nature when I hear the phrase ‘force of nature,’ but It’s a lovely thing to realize that that same louder force of nature is also quietly at work in some of the more soft and delicate parts of nature too. 🙂

        Me, too. And after I read this I went outside and just looked at the azaleas blooming and the rhododendron trying to wake up 🙂 Thank you for reminding me there is so much more at work here. 🙂

      It is. Thanks Eliza, it’s my only tulip that bloomed this year, so I’m treasuring it extra. 🙂

        The only one? Were they older or were they eaten? I planted 50 parrot tulips last fall and one THREE came up. 😦 #$&*@## Voles!

        Yep, only one. Yeah, they’re old. Very old, I think I planted them for my mom for a Mother’s Day gift like 15 years ago. Haha it’s probably time I plant some new ones! 😉
        Omygosh you only got 3 out of 50?! So sad… 😦

    That’s beautiful Jewels, as you enjoy the spring we the autumn or ‘fall” as you call it. I have just added something to my Home page from a roadside stop on the weekend, and you came to mind when I was inspired to create my encouragement plug.       Thank you. Autumn is my favorite season here, I just love all the beautiful colors! Do you get much in the way of autumn colors there? I’ll be sure to stop over and have a look at your home page and see your “Seasons” 🙂

        In Australia we mostly only have evergreen trees and plants, all of our pretty leaf dropping trees come from the colder climates of Europe and America, but we love seeing them in autumn. They are mostly planted in the cooler mountain regions where they change colour and drop their leaves, as they are doing now.
