I’m virtually drunk on the luscious scent of lilacs in the air right now. They’re at their peak here and they’re absolutely glorious, I love them sooo much! ❤
May your day be filled with things you love today too…

Julie, I can almost smell the lilacs through my computer screen. Thanks for sharing these beautiful pics! 🙂

Makes me wonder if technology will ever advance that far as to make something like that possible, it would be pretty cool! Although, I’d rather they work on making teleportation possible first. 😉
My pleasure Simon! I only wish I could have captured the butterfly at a better angle, but it was beginning to rain and then it flew away…

Oh, my goodness!!! This is sooooo gorgeous!!!! ❤ Loooove!!! ❤ ❤ I love Lilacs! They remind me of my granny. She loves them so much and she used to have a Lilac tree in her garden 🙂

Thanks so much Trini! Me too, they’re one of my most favorites! ❤ My grandma loved them too, as my grandpa planted these lilac bushes for her over 70 years ago. 🙂

Very lovely. French lilacs are plentiful here. Have a vase full on dining table. Have a wonderful day/night

Thanks Jay. A vase of them on the dining table sounds beautiful, I love bringing fresh lilacs inside, but they fade so quickly and last much longer if left on the bush, so I just try to spend a lot of time outdoors enjoying them. Thank you, hope you have a wonderful day/night as well.

Thanks Brad! Sumptuous was the only way I could think of to describe them. 🙂 Do you have any lilacs in your yard?

SUch beautiful photos and words to go with them! And how cool to catch a butterfly on a bloom! None of the lilacs around here looked as good as yours this year. I think all my neighbors trimmed them back too far. Maybe they were tired of me stealing sniffs!

Thanks Trisha! It was so wonderful to see that swallowtail enjoying my lilacs, in the rain even, I only wish I could have caught a better angle of it before it flew away. The lilacs here are extra lovely this year – or maybe it’s just my imagination because I’m ‘drunk’ on them. 😉

Our lilac will be a long time before it flowers and fills the air with that heady smell…but thank you for posting your beautiful photos and sending that gorgeous scent over here!

Thanks Lois! The butterflies can be tricky to catch sometimes, they’re always fluttering about – as butterflies tend to do, but this one was wet and its wings looked a little damaged, so I was able to catch it – even though it wasn’t at the best angle. Do you have many lilacs growing down there in sunny Florida?

We do not. The very short blasts of cold we get here are not enough for the lilacs. I think that is why you photo was so very wonderful for me.
